Mrs. Boehm has been teaching for 33 years. She retired in 2005 and has been teaching part-time for the past three years. She and her husband J.C. have two sons, Jason and David, and she has two granddaughters, Hannah and Ellie. Her hobbies are cooking, gardening, crocheting, piano playing, traveling, and singing. She currently serves as Vice Chairperson of Cave Spring's Downtown Development Authority. She is also on Alton Holman Heritage Art's School board.
